Photographer and Storyteller Talie Feola Launches “The Art of Being Seen,” a Transformative Portrait Experience Redefining What It Means to Be Witnessed

Photographer, storyteller, and creative visionary Talie Feola announces the expansion of her groundbreaking project, The Art of Being Seen — a documentary-style portrait and interview experience designed to reveal the truth, depth, and humanity that lives beneath the surface of her subjects. Blending cinematic photography, intimate conversation, and emotional presence, Feola is redefining what it means for people to feel genuinely seen in a world that often demands performance over authenticity.

Feola, a Pittsburgh-based artist known for her warm presence and intuitive ability to hold space, developed the project after years of studying the inner landscape of healing, identity, and expression. What began as a personal inquiry into what it means to be witnessed has evolved into a movement — one that gives people permission to step out from behind their personas and remember who they are without self-judgment or distortion.

Each session includes a creative consultation, a filmed 30–60 minute conversation, and a cinematic portrait experience across multiple locations. Participants walk away with a visual time-capsule of their truth — and, more importantly, an internal shift.

“The transformation isn’t the photos,” Feola says. “It’s the moment they see themselves clearly, maybe for the first time. When the noise quiets, the armor drops, and their real self comes forward. That’s the piece I care about.”

Feola’s ability to cultivate safety and depth has already attracted clients ranging from entrepreneurs to artists to individuals undergoing profound personal transitions. Her YouTube series and upcoming blog feature long-form storytelling that preserves each person’s truth with care, nuance, and intention. The project is deeply rooted in Feola’s belief that being seen — truly seen — is a healing experience that ripples outward into every part of life.

In addition to The Art of Being Seen, Feola is continuing to grow her wedding photography brand, known for its documentary approach and emotionally resonant imagery. Together, these two arms of her work reflect a singular mission: capturing humanity with honesty, reverence, and soul.

Feola envisions The Art of Being Seen expanding into workshops, community events, and eventually a full-length documentary. “This is bigger than photography,” she says. “It’s about giving people a space to come home to themselves.”
